Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using this website, submitting a service request, booking an appointment, purchasing a product, or otherwise engaging our services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these Terms & Conditions.
If you do not agree with these Terms, you should not use the website or proceed with a transaction or service request.
Where you enter into a specific written agreement, quotation, order confirmation, service contract, or other agreement with Eastern Business Systems LTD, that agreement may contain additional terms that apply to the relevant transaction.
If you are a consumer, these Terms do not affect statutory rights available to you under applicable UK consumer law.
Services
Eastern Business Systems LTD provides printer sales, repair, maintenance, installation, network configuration, managed print services, printer-related consultation, supplies, and other related services.
The availability of particular services may depend on your location, the type and condition of the equipment, technician availability, parts availability, manufacturer requirements, and other circumstances.
Information displayed on our website is provided for general information. A service description, estimate, quotation, or online request does not necessarily create a binding contract until the relevant order or service arrangement has been accepted or confirmed by us.
Quotes and estimates
Where we provide an estimate or quotation, we will identify the applicable price, scope, assumptions, exclusions, and validity period where appropriate. If an onsite inspection reveals additional work or equipment issues that were not reasonably apparent when the original estimate was provided, we will explain the additional work and any additional charges before proceeding, where reasonably practicable.
For consumer services, nothing in these Terms removes your statutory rights relating to services being performed with reasonable care and skill or other rights provided by applicable law.
Appointments and Scheduling
Appointment times are arranged according to technician availability, service requirements, location, and other operational factors.
Where you select a preferred appointment date or time, that selection represents your requested appointment preference unless we expressly confirm it as a fixed appointment.
- Same-day and next-day appointments are subject to availability.
- We will make reasonable efforts to attend at the agreed time.
- Appointment times may need to change because of circumstances outside our reasonable control.
- If we need to reschedule an appointment, we will contact you using the contact details provided.
- You should ensure that the equipment and the relevant working area are reasonably accessible when the technician arrives.
- Where access, safety, site conditions, or other circumstances prevent the service from being carried out, we may need to rearrange the appointment.
Customer availability
You are responsible for ensuring that someone authorised to provide access to the equipment is available at the agreed appointment time, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Payment Terms
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment for services is due in accordance with the payment terms stated on your quotation, order confirmation, invoice, or other applicable agreement.
We may accept credit or debit cards, bank transfers, and other payment methods that we make available from time to time.
Prices
Prices displayed or quoted by us will identify applicable taxes and charges where required by law. Unless expressly stated otherwise, additional charges may apply where additional services, replacement parts, consumables, travel, or other work has been agreed.
Business customers and late payment
Where a customer is acting in the course of a business or profession, late-payment rights and remedies may apply under applicable UK commercial debt legislation and the terms of the relevant business contract.
Where applicable, we may seek statutory interest and recovery costs permitted by law in relation to qualifying business-to-business late payments.
We will not impose payment charges or additional charges on consumers unless permitted by applicable law and properly disclosed before the relevant contract is entered into.
Warranty
Where expressly offered, we provide a 90-day workmanship warranty on qualifying repair services.
The workmanship warranty relates to the workmanship carried out by Eastern Business Systems LTD and does not automatically cover unrelated faults, subsequent damage, misuse, accidental damage, modifications made by others, or normal wear and tear.
Replacement parts may be subject to separate manufacturer or supplier warranties. Where applicable, we will explain the relevant warranty arrangements.
Statutory rights
Any warranty we provide is additional to, and does not replace, restrict, or remove any statutory rights that apply to you.
In particular, where you are a consumer, services must be provided in accordance with applicable statutory requirements, including the requirement for services to be performed with reasonable care and skill.
Please contact us as soon as reasonably practicable if you believe that a repair has not been completed correctly. We will assess the issue and explain the appropriate next steps.
Cancellation, Refunds & Consumer Rights
Cancellation and refund rights depend on the type of transaction, whether you are a consumer or business customer, and how the contract was entered into.
Consumer cancellation rights
Where applicable, consumers entering into a distance contract or an off-premises contract may have a statutory cancellation period under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
Subject to applicable exemptions and statutory conditions, the cancellation period for qualifying service contracts is generally 14 calendar days from the day after the contract is entered into.
There are circumstances in which the statutory cancellation right may not apply, or may be affected by the consumer requesting that a service begins during the cancellation period.
Services requested before the cancellation period ends
If you are a consumer and ask us to begin providing a service before the applicable cancellation period ends, you may be required to pay for the proportion of the service supplied before you communicate your decision to cancel, where permitted by law.
If the service has been fully performed during the cancellation period after you expressly requested immediate performance and acknowledged where required that you may lose your cancellation right once the service is fully performed, the statutory cancellation right may no longer apply.
Cancelling an appointment
If you need to cancel or rearrange an appointment, please contact us as soon as possible using the telephone or email details below.
We will not impose a cancellation charge that is unfair, disproportionate, or otherwise prohibited by applicable law.
Refunds
Where a refund is legally due, we will process it using the appropriate payment method and within the period required by applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms affects any statutory right you may have to reject faulty goods, require a remedy for services that do not meet applicable legal standards, or obtain another remedy provided by law.
Nothing in this section is intended to remove or restrict consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
Limitation of Liability
We will take reasonable care in providing our services and operating our website.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
- Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
- Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
- Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits statutory consumer rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
- Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where applicable law does not permit such exclusion or limitation.
Subject to the above and applicable law, we will not generally be responsible for indirect or consequential losses that were not reasonably foreseeable at the time the relevant contract was entered into.
Where a limitation of liability is legally permitted, the applicable limit will depend on the nature of the contract, the circumstances giving rise to the loss, and whether you are a consumer or business customer.
Consumer contract terms must satisfy applicable fairness requirements. We will not rely on a limitation or exclusion that is prohibited or unenforceable under UK consumer law.

Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms and any contract between you and Eastern Business Systems LTD will be governed by the laws of England and Wales, except where mandatory provisions of another part of the United Kingdom or applicable law require otherwise.
If you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, nothing in these Terms is intended to deprive you of any mandatory legal rights or protections that apply to you under the laws of the jurisdiction in which you live.
Resolving concerns
If you have a concern about our services, we encourage you to contact us first so that we can investigate the matter and try to resolve it promptly.
Please contact us using the details in Section 10 and provide your name, relevant order or appointment details, and a description of the issue.
Consumer disputes
Nothing in these Terms prevents a consumer from exercising any legal rights available under applicable UK law, including bringing a claim before a court with appropriate jurisdiction.
Our terms are intended to be read and understood clearly. Where a consumer term is found to be unfair or unenforceable under applicable law, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
Changes to Terms & Contact
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes to our services, business practices, legal requirements, or other relevant circumstances.
When we make material changes, we will update the revision date displayed on this page and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
Changes will apply prospectively unless applicable law requires otherwise. Changes will not retrospectively remove rights that have already accrued under a contract.
